Francofil PETG ESD builds on the brand's PETG base with dissipative behaviour, intended for parts handled in contact with components sensitive to electrostatic discharge. The virgin colour corresponds to unpigmented material.
Its extrusion range of 270 to 290 °C sits above that of a standard PETG and calls for a nozzle able to hold those temperatures continuously.
Printing behaviour
The bed is set between 80 and 85 °C, a high value that limits first layer lifting on wide parts. Like any PETG, the material picks up moisture in open air and is stored in a dry box between prints.
Field of use
The filament is used for fixtures, jigs and housings in contact with electronics, where charge build-up on a plastic part becomes a problem. It is extruded in France by Francofil, which places it in the technical range alongside its materials intended for constrained environments.
