L'ESD Resin présente une résistivité de surface comprise entre 10⁵ et 10⁸ Ω/carré, plage caractéristique des matériaux dissipateurs : reliée à la terre, une pièce évacue les charges statiques de façon contrôlée et repousse poussières et particules. Sa rigidité et sa résistance aux chocs sont proches de l'ABS, avec une résistance à la rupture par traction de 44,2 MPa, un module de traction d'environ 1,9 GPa et une résilience Izod de 26 J/m.
Ces caractéristiques la destinent aux outillages et gabarits de lignes de production électronique, aux bacs et plateaux de composants, ainsi qu'aux boîtiers protégeant les éléments sensibles des décharges électrostatiques.
Mise en œuvre et post-traitement
L'ESD Resin s'imprime en SLA et nécessite un lavage à l'alcool ou à l'éther pour éliminer l'excès de résine, suivi d'une post-polymérisation indispensable à l'obtention des propriétés finales. Sa température de fléchissement sous charge atteint 62 °C à 0,45 MPa. En cartouche 5 L, le matériau est destiné au Resin Pumping System pour les flux de production à haut volume.
