Printing behaviour
PETG ENKY 3DP prints at a nozzle temperature between 200 and 240 °C, at a speed of 30 to 60 mm/s, on a build plate of up to 70 °C. It shows little warping and remains straightforward to process, provided the settings are well controlled and a moderate print speed is used.
It is prone to layer delamination, so careful tuning is required; its translucency is achieved by limiting the number of shells.
Properties and applications
PETG combines impact resistance, an oxygen barrier, good electrical insulation behaviour, and food-contact compliance under FDA standards. Its strength sits between that of PLA and ABS, giving durable, sturdy parts. Odourless and recyclable, it is also used as a base for composite materials.
It is used in medical applications, food containers, electrical components, and functional prototypes.
