The STREAM PRO v2 Printhead Cover is the replacement cowling part for the extrusion printhead of Volumic Stream 20 PRO MK2 and Stream 30 PRO MK2 FDM printers. It encloses the hotend assembly and printhead mechanics, providing both protection of internal components (wiring harness, ventilation, sensors) and channelling of the airflow generated by the part-cooling fan.
This replacement part makes it possible to replace a damaged, cracked, or filament-stained cover without any intervention on the thermal components of the hotend. The cowling also contributes to the finished appearance of the machine in series production workshops.
Implementation
The cover mounts directly onto the extrusion printhead with the machine switched off and the hotend cooled, following the procedure documented by Volumic in its online technical support. The operation does not require disassembly of the heater block or modification of the wiring: it is a purely mechanical replacement, within reach of a level-1 maintenance operator. A visual check of correct positioning and free airflow must be carried out after reassembly.
