The STREAM Series Blower is the replacement radial part-cooling fan dedicated to Volumic FDM printers. Its function is to blow a directed airflow onto the part being printed, immediately after filament deposition, to rapidly solidify the material and improve the quality of bridges, overhangs, and fine details.
This part meets the mechanical and electrical specifications of the blower fitted as standard to all Stream, SH, and EXO series, as well as the IDRE and Performance variants, ensuring a flow rate, connector, and thermal signature consistent with the calibration profiles of Volumic firmwares.
Implementation
Installation is carried out on the dedicated extruder carriage housing, with connection to the corresponding connector on the machine's electronics board. Replacement requires partial dismantling of the extrusion carriage; Volumic provides online technical support, to be consulted according to the printer model, to ensure correct reassembly and preserve the fan's PWM regulation as well as the correct positioning of the airflow relative to the nozzle.
