AESUB Orange is a long-duration volatile matting spray for preparing parts before 3D scanning. It deposits a fine, white matt, opaque and non-slip coating, optimised to create the contrast necessary for capturing fine details with structured light, laser triangulation or infrared light technologies. Its formulation is particularly suited to transparent parts (glass, translucent plastics), shiny, mirror-like parts or parts with deep cavities, which are difficult to scan without surface preparation.
Unlike short-duration sprays, the AESUB Orange coating remains stable on the part during the scanning phase, eliminating the need for re-spraying on large or complex objects or during extended scan sessions. The deposit then fully sublimates within 6 to 24 hours, leaving no residue and requiring no cleaning.
Application
Shake the can before use, then spray at 15–20 cm from the part with regular sweeping movements to achieve a homogeneous layer. The solvent evaporates within a few seconds, the active agent remains on the surface as a white matt coating. Scanning can begin once fully dry. The product contains no pigments, which avoids contamination of sensors and measurement environments. Reference points adhere to the coating, which is useful for photogrammetric and multi-pose stitching workflows.
Precautions and storage
Extremely flammable aerosol under pressure: keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks and naked flames, do not expose to above 50 °C, do not pierce or burn. Use in a well-ventilated area, appropriate PPE recommended. Do not spray on hot components or those intended for food contact. Store in a dry location between 18 °C and 21 °C, protected from sunlight. Minimum shelf life of 3 years. Safety data sheet available from the distributor.
