AESUB Diamond is a temporary fine-deposit matting spray designed specifically for 3D scanning of small, high-value-added parts: jewellery, rings, set stones, watch components and goldsmithing pieces. Its reduced particle size formulation deposits a particularly fine and homogeneous white coating that eliminates parasitic reflections from polished metal surfaces, faceted stones and shiny finishes, without masking the micro-details required in precision metrology.
The formulation is pigment-free and titanium dioxide (TiO₂)-free: the spray mist does not contaminate scanners, sensors or neighbouring parts, which is critical in a jewellery workshop where tool contamination by pigments is unacceptable. The coating sublimates on its own in approximately 10 minutes, allowing on-site scanning without any cleaning step or intermediate transport of parts.
Application
Shake the can before use, then spray at 5–10 cm from the part (shorter distance than a standard spray, suited to small objects) covering the surface to be scanned uniformly. Avoid electrical or sensitive zones. Scanning can begin once the deposit has dried completely. The part returns to its original appearance within approximately ten minutes, without cleaning or post-scan handling. Its short duration makes it a solution dedicated to parts scanned quickly; for longer sessions, prefer a long-duration variant from the same range.
Precautions and storage
Flammable aerosol under pressure: keep away from all heat sources, hot surfaces, sparks or naked flames. Do not pierce or burn the container. Use in a well-ventilated area, appropriate PPE recommended. Store in a dry location, protected from sunlight, at a stable ambient temperature. Safety data sheet available from the distributor for integration into workshop HSE procedures.
