AESUB Blue is a temporary matting spray for preparing parts before 3D scanning. Sprayed at approximately 15–20 cm from the surface, it deposits a fine homogeneous layer that matts shiny areas, makes transparent or translucent surfaces opaque and increases the contrast perceived by the scanner sensor — conditions necessary for capturing fine details with structured light, laser triangulation or infrared light technologies.
The characteristic of this formulation is its temporary nature: the deposit fully sublimates from the part in approximately 4 hours, leaving no residue and requiring no cleaning step. The part returns to its original appearance after this period, making it a proven solution for scanning sensitive, series-production or solvent-sensitive parts.
Application
Shake the can to homogenise the product before use, then spray at 15–20 cm from the part in thin, crossed layers to achieve a regular deposit over the entire area to be scanned. Avoid electrical zones or sensitive components. Scanning can begin immediately after application, without extended drying time. The deposit then fades automatically in approximately 4 hours.
Precautions and documents
Pressurised aerosol: use in a well-ventilated area, away from naked flames, hot surfaces or sources of sparks. Appropriate PPE recommended (gloves, respiratory protection for prolonged use). Technical data sheet and safety data sheet available from the distributor for integration into HSE procedures and the workshop risk register.
