Winkle PLA Silk is a PLA with a glossy silk finish, made in Spain for 1.75 mm FDM printing, on 1 kg spools. Added polymers increase light scattering and reflection, giving a near-metallic look that largely hides layer lines. It keeps the easy printing of PLA: no warping and low shrinkage.
It prints at 200 to 230 °C on a bed at 50 to 70 °C, with a 0.4 mm nozzle or larger, and feeds through the Bambu Lab AMS. Winkle intends it for appearance parts and decorative objects, where shine matters more than mechanical performance. Each spool is packed in a sealed bag that protects it from moisture and UV.
