REFLECON Tarnish 11 is designed to improve the capture of complex surfaces during laser or structured-light 3D scanning operations. Its formulation produces a fine, homogeneous matte layer on reflective, transparent, dark, or mirror surfaces to facilitate reading by optical sensors.
The applied layer sublimates and evaporates automatically after a variable delay depending on the material, temperature, and environment. No additional cleaning is required after data acquisition, which simplifies dimensional inspection, reverse engineering, and industrial inspection operations.
Behaviour and usage precautions
This solvent-based matting spray has a reduced odour and generates few residues during application, limiting contamination of scanning equipment. Its controlled wetting behaviour also promotes adhesion and removal of the reference targets used in metrology.
The product is compatible with uncoated objects, wood, and certain two-component coatings. For plastics, primers, and single-component paints, a preliminary test is recommended before use.
