Printing behaviour

PLA-HI prints at an extrusion temperature of 190 to 210 °C, on a heated bed of 20 to 60 °C, at a speed of 40 to 150 mm/s. It is processed like a conventional PLA, with good bed adhesion and limited shrinkage, with no enclosed chamber.

Its Charpy impact strength of 16.5 kJ/m² sets it clearly apart from a standard PLA, while retaining the ease of processing and smooth surface appearance of PLA. With a glass transition temperature of 60 °C, it remains intended for indoor use.

Applications and compliance

Designed from bio-based materials, PLA-HI is suitable for food contact according to EU regulation 10/2011 and compliant with REACH regulations. Its impact resistance and ease of printing make it suitable for functional prototypes, spare parts, architectural mock-ups and modelling.

Store in a dry environment, away from light and heat, in order to preserve its extrusion properties.

About Kimya

Origine : France
