Function and use
Designed as a breakaway support material, Kimya PEI Support is used as a second extrusion with the Kimya PEI-1010 and PEI-9085 model filaments, based on SABIC ULTEM. Its high-temperature resistance allows it to follow the demanding print parameters of these technical polymers.
The adhesion between the support and the model material remains sufficient during printing, while allowing manual removal at room temperature, without bath or solvent. Contact areas thus retain a smooth finish on the final part.
Identification and storage
Its natural translucent tint contrasts with the amber appearance of PEI filaments, which makes it easier to locate the support areas to be removed after printing. The filament must be stored away from light, moisture and heat in order to preserve its original properties.
