Industrial applications and material behaviour
Kimya ABS-S filament is intended for professional applications requiring a combination of rigidity, impact resistance and thermal resistance. It is commonly used for producing functional prototypes, tooling, technical components or end-use parts in sectors such as household appliances or telephony.
Its formulation also produces an even surface finish and facilitates post-processing operations. The material is compatible with food-contact requirements according to the certifications indicated by the manufacturer.
Use in FDM printing
ABS-S requires a heated bed and high extrusion temperatures in order to ensure good inter-layer adhesion and to limit the shrinkage phenomena inherent to ABS materials. It is available in several diameters and pack sizes in order to fit into different production environments. The material complies with RoHS and REACH regulations and remains compatible with most FDM printers on the market accepting the diameters offered.
