Process and applications
IM 2.0 GP resin is intended for DLP systems fitted with a 365 nm LED source. It is used to print sacrificial moulds, dissolved after injection, which allows internal geometries and undercuts that are difficult to demould with conventional metal tooling. Once post-cured, the material withstands an injection moulding temperature of up to 400 °C, making it compatible with a wide range of thermoplastics, MIM/CIM composites, and elastomers, including liquid silicone rubber (LSR).
This approach targets rapid tooling prototyping and small production runs, reducing the lead times associated with making traditional injection moulds.
Use and storage
The liquid material has a viscosity of 75 mPa·s and a density of 1.1 g/cm³. Printed parts are cleaned with isopropanol, and the temperature during printing must not exceed 75 °C. The resin should be stored between 8 and 28 °C; after curing, storage must be airtight and protected from moisture to preserve its properties.
