Cette tête d'extrusion regroupe en un seul ensemble les éléments du hotend : bloc de chauffe, buse et capteurs associés. Sur les imprimantes Bambu Lab de la série X1, le hotend se remplace comme un module complet, ce qui simplifie l'entretien et la maintenance.
Pièce de rechange d'origine constructeur, elle remplace un hotend usé, obstrué ou endommagé, ou permet de changer de diamètre de buse selon les besoins d'impression.
Buse acier et applications
La buse en acier inoxydable résiste à l'abrasion, ce qui la rend adaptée aux filaments chargés (fibres de carbone ou de verre) qui useraient rapidement une buse en laiton. Le diamètre de 0,2 mm privilégie la finesse et le détail, au prix d'une vitesse d'impression réduite et de couches plus fines.
