GreenTEC PRO from Extrudr is a biopolymer filament from the Austrian manufacturer's BIO-Performance range, formulated for demanding technical applications. It combines good mechanical strength, low cooling shrinkage and a matt surface finish suited to the production of functional and aesthetic FDM parts.
The material is odourless during extrusion, compliant for food contact applications under FDA standards, and biodegradable to DIN EN ISO 14855. The filament is available in several colours to cover both prototyping and series production requirements.
Printing behaviour
GreenTEC PRO prints over a wide temperature range, from 190 to 250 °C, at speeds of up to 120 mm/s. A heated build plate is not mandatory but can be set up to 90 °C to improve first-layer adhesion. Cooling shrinkage remains low, which limits warping on large parts.
Interlayer adhesion is high: in bending, failure propagates transversely across layers rather than by delamination. Processing is accessible to operators with basic FDM knowledge and proves simpler than technical polymers such as PC, ABS or PEEK.
Mechanical properties and applications
The material offers medium hardness combined with slight flexibility, giving it an impact resistance suited to functional parts under moderate loading. Its heat deflection resistance of up to 160 °C extends the application range beyond standard biopolymers. The matt surface minimises layer-line visibility and reduces post-processing operations on parts intended for end use.
