Printing behaviour
DuraPro PC/PBT prints at a temperature between 260 and 290 °C on a bed heated to 110 °C, at speeds of up to 280 mm/s. The polycarbonate content in the blend warrants the use of an enclosed chamber to limit warping and control shrinkage.
As with most engineering materials, pre-drying the filament is recommended to preserve extrusion quality and the mechanical properties of the parts.
Properties and applications
The PC/PBT blend combines the mechanical and thermal strength of polycarbonate with the chemical resistance of PBT, maintaining toughness at low temperatures. The result is a material suited to functional parts subject to mechanical, thermal, or chemical stress, particularly in technical and industrial fields.
