The texture resulting from the powder coating transfers to the first layer of prints and hides most mechanical marks, making it a proven surface for series production (used by Prusa in its own print farm).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003ePrinting Behavior\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eThe surface offers direct adhesion for PLA and PETG without the need for a glue stick, and allows for a more forgiving Live Adjust Z than a smooth sheet. Prints automatically detach after the sheet has fully cooled. The first layer may appear more squashed than on a smooth sheet; PLA parts with a small adhesion surface may require a brim, while PLA parts with a large contact surface may experience warping.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eCare and Precautions\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eNever clean this sheet with acetone: the solvent creates micro-cracks in the PEI texture and degrades the surface over time. Prefer isopropyl alcohol (IPA) on a cold bed for degreasing between prints. Note that PEI coatings are consumables designed to wear out over time: their wear is not covered by warranty, unless due to an original defect or material failure.
